Where a love of vintage meets exceptional craftsmanship

Atwater Vintage Restoration LLC was founded in 2017 when a hobby of making old things new again developed into something more. Initially the business was focused around restoring furniture and vintage electronics. Since then, we have taken on a whole lot of other services, including restoration of tools and lighting, as well as building custom furnishings. Despite having a focus in mid-century modern design, we service and restore pieces of all vintages. From Plycraft lounge chairs to 18th century grandfather clocks, we are happy to help with all of your restoration needs. We are also happy to help find the perfect piece for your space— if that piece cannot be found we can work with you to design and fabricate exactly what you are looking for with many years of woodworking experience and a full-service wood shop.

Nick Atwater— Owner/Operator

Nick began restoring small pieces as a hobby around the age of 16. Initially interested in vintage electronics, he began his journey by repairing tube radios and refinishing their beautiful wooden cabinets. Over time, Nick began taking on other pieces and working with other mediums to build his skills as a restoration hobbyist. In 2017 he formed an LLC and began offering his services for hire. Since then, he has completed hundreds of projects for many incredible customers and fellow small business owners. Nick is a woodworking enthusiast who began learning the craft, as a child, from his grandfather. Over the years he has honed his skills and expanded his knowledge with help from friends in the trade and an eager willingness to take on new tasks.

When not in the shop Nick enjoys collecting vinyl records, rock-climbing, and spending time in the great outdoors. Although restoration work is his passion, Nick is also a fully licensed contractor in the state of Massachusetts.
